Against the Grain
The Brief: Create a brand identity and concept for an affordable online shaving kit aimed at the modern man. (student work)
This was quite a difficult brief because it took everything in me not go the "generic hipster" route. During the brainstorming for this project I had the keywords clean, suave, and rebel. I wanted to do something clean and elegant but with an edge to it. I first thought of the name Stay Sharp but it reminded me too much of GQ's tagline so Against the Grain won. Found this great typeface which turned out really well. The campaign was inspired by the Famous Rogue section we used to have at the magazine.
